Man faces arson charges after three Masonic lodges destroyed or damaged by fire

Ένας 42χρονος άνδρας αντιμετωπίζει εμπρηστικές κατηγορίες, χάρη σε λίγη τύχη για έναν αστυνομικό του Βανκούβερ, σε σχέση με τις περίεργες ειδήσεις ότι τρία κτίρια της Τεκτονικής πυρπολήθηκαν εντός 90 λεπτών το ένα από το άλλο νωρίς την Τρίτη. Ωστόσο, προτού συλληφθεί ο ύποπτος στην τρίτη πυρκαγιά, στο ανατολικό Βανκούβερ, κατάφερε να φύγει μετά από μια «φυσική μάχη» με έναν ένοπλο αξιωματικό που ήταν στην περιοχή, δήλωσε ο εκπρόσωπος της αστυνομίας του Βανκούβερ Κοντ Τάνια Βισιντίν.
The man was arrested about 2-1/2 hours later in Burnaby. Vancouver police and North Vancouver RCMP are preparing their recommendations for charges to Crown counsel.

“The two arsons that occurred in North Vancouver are still under investigation,” said Visintin. “We anticipate recommending more charges to Crown counsel in the coming weeks related to the North Vancouver files.” …
